Bear Mountain Ski Retreat

Bear Mountain Ski Retreat with a view. Located only one block or so from Bear Mountain in Moonridge – you can walk to ski shuttle and the new zoo is being built adjacent to the golf course.  Our cabin is outfitted with the very best amenities including Pottery Barn furniture and Ugg pillows, new bedding, a spectacular view from our private deck all from a private hillside that is overlooking all of Moonridge.

Moonridge is a quaint upscale community in Big Bear Lake and it has its own village that is expanding and evolving.

The Master has one queen bed with a TV, record and DVD player, the second bedroom has a full bed with an air mattress in the closet and a large Smart TV, the living room has a pullout leather sectional with upgraded queen luxury memory foam mattress.  We provide coffee, luxury tea assortment, creamer, sugar and other items and our kitchen comes fully stocked including an array of spices to cook with and all cookware items you can practically think of.

We have a gas bbq on a custom deck with a bbq shelf for food with a bear bottle opener, string patio lights for at night and a patio set all overlooking Bear Mountain and the rest of Moonridge.  We have sleds, luggage racks, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, shampoo, body soap and conditioner and extra linens, DVDs, blankets, towels and camping chairs.  

There is a closet to hang your ski gear in when you first walk in and a custom stone and log fireplace with smores’ sticks in the kitchen.  There are plenty of fun games to choose from in our hall closet as well.  We provide free fast WIFI and Netflix and an amazing Bluetooth record player with brand new records.  We have a wall heater as well and fans in each room should it become warm which is a rarity in Big Bear.  We also have double pane windows overlooking all of Moonridge and a spectacular view from our deck.  

Please note the cabin is not child proof and it is suggested you bring a travel bed or use our queen pullout or air mattress for any toddlers or babies.  

Entire home is rented out to you.  This is not a shared home.  You will be renting an entire cabin.  We will be available to answer all questions at any time via text or via AirBNB messaging.  We also have someone within a short distance of our cabin should any emergencies arise.  

We are right next to the ski shuttle (walking distance) to Bear Mountain where you can ski and snowboard or watch an awesome concert and you can literally walk to the shuttle and a very short drive to Snow Summit.  The new Moonridge Zoo and golfing is just down the block as well as the hidden gem of Moonridge Village with quaint old school restaurants and coffee shops.  This is an upscale neighborhood that is the hidden gem of Big Bear Lake with a ton of areas for free sledding and trails for hiking and biking all around us.  It is the perfect location without the crowds but close enough to be within a short distance of every major attraction in Big Bear Lake.  

Bike rentals are down the street, lots of trails and hills to snow sled on (sleds in our front closet), even in our own backyard when the snow is there.  Ski shuttle to Bear Mountain is within walking distance of our cabin.  Our driveway is slightly steep so when snowing it is best to have a 4×4 or chains as our driveway is not flat.  

This is a hillside retreat with spectacular views of Bear Mountain and lots of trees in an upscale quaint community called Moonridge.  Patio furniture and bbq is covered to protect against dirt and snow please remove and replace during your stay.  If it is snowing, we will have our driveway plowed for you.  Please note in all Big Bear Lake rentals per Code you will need to take out your trash off-site down the street less than a half mile to the free site for trash.  This is due to animals and Code enforcement and is the law for any Big Bear Lake rental.  $25 per bag of trash left behind and $50 for leaving the cover off the jacuzzi without use for more than an hour per day.
